The Glass Museum

I didn't think my first post would be non-anime for my re-inaugural review. However, I thought I would cover my recent excursion up north to the middle of nowhere sorry I mean Canada.

Along the way there, my tour bus stopped to give us time to explore the magic world of...

 Target!

Just kidding it's the Corning Museum of Glass. That's a thing apparently.

So yeah, I thought I would cover my recent tour around the Museum of Glass, written as I looked about and snapped photos with my phone.

WOAHHHHHHH.

Upon disembarkment from the bus, I saw the red circle thing pictured above. Upon further examination, by which I mean walking up to touch it, I found out that it was not made of glass.

I'm disappointed already.

The museum doors have earned my approval as they are, in fact, made of glass. Closer inspection also revealed that all the windows in the building are also made of glass.

I liked this eyeball thing but some Mexican kid kept getting in the way of my shot.
Tension between Mexico and Chinese glassmakers continues to grow.

An interesting origin story: Glassmaking became an artform when Egyptians realized that they neglected to install windshields for their cars. I should probably pay attention to the tour guide next time.

Here are some ancient Roman glass bongs:

Morale is low among the party.

Glass cases displaying glass works of art! This is very meta.

More bongs.

Now this type of shit I can get behind. I have no idea what the fuck is going on here. It looks like a DNA molecule orgasming.

I have no idea what this is supposed to be. The tour guide said it was from the Samsung Dynasty or something.

The original Power Glove.

Here's some silly doofus taking pictures with his iPad. This needs to be seen in person in order to appreciate how stupid it looks.

The original liberty bell. Was successfully rung half of an instance of once before someone wondered "wait, what the fuck are we doing?".

This poor chap resisted his non-crystalline oppressors and was punished by being molded into a clay statue.

We were led into an auditorium for a "hot glass" show, which kind of sounds like a fetish porno.

This looked promising until the Blue Man Group appeared.

Anyway, I had fun at the museum. My favorite part of the tour was the experimental art section, which they let us explore on our own. I didn't include many pictures because this post will be long enough vertically as it is. Also, I recommend going there to see for yourself, if you ever take a tour up north to Toronto.

Well, that about covers it. I'll be getting back to my animu reviews shortly. Expect an update at some point before the month ends. Hopefully.
